For communities that rely on a landfill for solid waste disposal, MES provides comprehensive operation services. MES has experience creating innovative solutions to meet solid waste needs in cost-effective ways.

MES can handle mixed municipal, residential, commercial, and non-hazardous industrial solid wastes from private residences, commercial districts, municipal centers, and transfer stations. Our experience includes building unique partnerships to solve even the most complex environmental challenges.

Featured Project: Midshore II Regional Solid Waste Facility
MES provides solid waste disposal services to Talbot, Caroline, Kent, and Queen Anne’s Counties. This unique partnership is the only regional solid waste management agreement in Maryland. Each county will host the operating landfill for a period of twenty years, providing an eighty-year solution to waste disposal in the region.

The landfills handle mixed municipal, residential, commercial, and non-hazardous industrial solid wastes from private residences, commercial districts, municipal centers, and transfer stations within the Midshore Counties geographical boundaries. MES operated Midshore I in Talbot County from 1991 to 2010. Currently, we operate Midshore II in Caroline County and will continue until 2030.
