Board of Directors

Mr. Brendon Baatz was appointed to the Board of Directors of Maryland Environmental Service on July 1, 2023. Mr. Baatz is currently Vice President at Gabel Associates, an energy and environmental consultancy with offices in Highland Park, NJ; Philadelphia, PA; and Rockville, MD. At Gabel Associates, Mr. Baatz advises a range of public and private clients on issues related to electric and gas utility regulation, transportation electrification, and other energy issues.

Mr. Baatz previously held positions at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the American Counsel for an Energy-Efficient Economy, the Maryland Public Service Commission, and the Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor. Mr. Baatz holds a Master of Public Affairs from Indiana University Bloomington and a Bachelor of Science from Arizona State University Tempe.

Mr. Baatz currently resides in Potomac with his wife, two daughters, and dog.
