Hament Patel has more than 35 years of experience in accounting and finance, including 30 years as an MES team member. Mr. Patel has served in multiple capacities since joining MES in 1991, beginning as Accounting Services Manager, responsible for Payroll, Accounts Payable, General Construction Loans, and other accounting functions. Prior to joining MES, Mr. Patel worked for Baltimore City Community College as the Assistant Director of Accounting, responsible for managing a large staff and the majority of the college’s accounting functions.

As Managing Director of Finance, Mr. Patel oversees a sizable staff and all finance functions at MES. This includes overseeing Payroll, Accounts Payable, Billing and Collections, Preparation of Financial Statements, Audit, Fleet Management, Budget, Fixed Assets, and Insurance, among other services. Mr. Patel also works collaboratively with MES’ Information Technology department and environmental divisions to maintain and optimize the agency’s enterprise resource management software.

Mr. Patel holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Arlington.
