Moalie Jose, P.E.
Board Member and Chair, Audit Committee
Moalie Jose, P.E., was appointed to the Board of Directors of Maryland Environmental Service on July 1, 2023. Ms. Jose is an active member of the American Water Works Association (AWWA), Water Environment Federation (WEF), and its local member association, Chesapeake Environment Association (CWEA), where she is chair of the mentoring committee for the City of Baltimore’s YH2O program. She is also a 2022 Alumni of WEF’s Water Leadership Institute.
From December 2018 to April 2023, Ms. Jose served as a member-at-large on the Baltimore County Board of Education, which is the 22nd largest school district in the United States. During her tenure with the Board, she was the Chair of the Building and Contracts Committee, Vice-Chair of the Audit Committee, and Member of the Equity Committee. Additionally, Ms. Jose recently served on the Maryland General Assembly’s Workgroup on the Assessment and Funding of School Facilities.
Ms. Jose has a Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering from The University of Alabama and a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. She is a certified Organization Change Management Practitioner, as well as a licensed Professional Engineer in the states of Maryland and Virginia, and has over 20 years of experience in the water industry. She has led large-scale water and sewer design projects, technology initiatives, and water infrastructure planning for over 20 years.
