Reduce, reuse, recycle! MES’ Environmental Operations group operates several Materials Recycling Facilities (MRFs), including the one in Prince George’s County. The partnership began in 2015, and on average, the Prince George’s County MRF processes 250 tons per day, or 5,000 tons per month. Recycling initiatives and technologies have improved substantially over the last 10-15 years, and the output volume of commodities—or the collection of goods sold—has increased significantly as a result.
