Scale Hours of Operation
Monday-Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., last load taken at 3:15 p.m.
Saturday: 7:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., last load taken at 12:15 p.m.
The facility is NOT open on Sunday.

Tipping Fees
  • Residential & Commercial Waste – $74.50 per ton with a $10 minimum (up to 260 lbs.)
  • Oversized items greater than 15 feet (e.g., boats, trailers, campers) – $120 per item
  • Surcharge: Mattresses – $30 each
  • Surcharge: Sewage sludge and septage – $5 per ton
  • Brush & yard waste – $49.50 per ton with a $10 minimum (up to 400 lbs.)
    • Maximum width: 24-inch diameter / Length: 6-foot or less
    • Items longer and/or larger are land clearing debris and are charged full price.
Tire Surcharges
  • The per-tire surcharge is in addition to the standard tip fee (charged for weight), which is $74.50 per ton effective 7/1/2026.
  • Limit of five tires per year, per resident without a Tire Haulers License.
  • If you need a Tire Haulers License, please contact the MDE Scrap Tire Division at (410) 537-3315. Most temporary scrap tire licenses are sent via fax machine or email. If needed, you may have the license faxed directly to the Midshore II Solid Waste Facility Scalehouse at (410) 634-9302 or to Chuck Ingram.

Passenger Tires (15 inches or less)

  • $4.00 per tire without a rim and clean, plus weight charge of $74.50 per ton
  • $8.00 per tire with rim and/or dirty, plus weight charge of $74.50 per ton

Light Truck Tires (16 inches or greater)

  • $5.50 per tire without a rim and clean, plus weight charge of $74.50 per ton
  • $11.00 per tire w/rim and/or dirty, plus weight charge of $74.50 per ton

Heavy Truck Tires (tire sizes 9.0 and up)

  • $16.50 per tire without a rim and clean, plus weight charge of $74.50 per ton
  • $33.00 per tire w/rim and/or dirty, plus weight charge of $74.50 per ton

Off the Road (OTR) Tire

  • $400.00 per ton, plus weight charge of $74.50 per ton = $474.50 per ton OR
  • $125.00 per tire plus weight charge of $74.50 per ton
    (When commingled with other non-OTR tires or waste.)

Holly Road Homeowners Drop Off

Monday, Thursday, and Saturday: 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
There are no Sunday hours.
Trailers of any kind are prohibited from the Homeowners Drop-Off Area.

Usage Guidelines
  • A combination of seven bags of trash and/or brush is accepted per day.
  • Bags should be no larger than 32/33 gallons. If using a 55-gallon bag, only 4 per day are permitted.
  • Brush = Grass cuttings with very little dirt, dead plants, twigs, branches, leaves, or shrubs (all must be organic/natural).
    • A small pickup load = a full bed or truck at or under the top rim of the truck bed.
    • A large pickup load = half of the bed (front, back, or height) at or under the top rim of the truck bed.
    • Please empty your brush into the brush can. DO NOT throw any plastic bags into the brush can. Please dispose of the plastic bag(s) in the trash compactor.

The Recycling Area is ALWAYS FREE OF CHARGE.
